In AZ the minimum working age for restaurants and grocery stores is 14 years old. So there should not be a legal reason not to hire a 14 yo. Make sure to speak to a manager, be polite but, let them know that you would like a job. If they want you to fill out an application do it. After you turn it in its very important to wait a few days and follow up on it. Call the manager, be polite and ask if they had a chance to look at it. It will remind them that your expecting an answer about the job. If they dont hire you apply somewhere else using the same process. The key to finding work is persistence.
